Was on the East Coast a couple of weeks ago, spending some time at Montauk Point on the eastern end of Long Island, NY.  Drove down to the harbor one day and spotted the Coast Guard Station with an older cutter and two 47 foot MLB's (like my model) at the dock, so I went up to the main gate, told them I was a builder of a model of the 47 foot MLB, and asked if I could see one close up.  The personnel there were great and gave me a complete tour from open bridge to engine room. Very cool!

I guess I have proof now that my aluminum color MLB is accurate.
